4.To negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers and draws up contract documents;
5.To provide ongoing input for new ideas, new fabrics, materials, and competitive market research feedback.
6.To support as a technologist by liaising with designers, and adapting designs to suit production methods
7.To devise purchasing policies, decides on whether orders should be put out to tender and evaluates suppliers
8.To check production capacities and quality capabilities of the suppliers;
9.To provide technical consultancy services and ensure that the quality is built into product and manufacturing processes;
10.To check conformity as per samples and order during production by following stringent quality checks of incoming goods and ensures suppliers deliver on time;
11.To research and identifies new products and suppliers;
12.To stay abreast of and ensures adherence to relevant legislation regarding tendering and procurement procedures.
13.To ensure all goods and services purchased comply with the corporate social sustainability policies
