Company Description

November 4, 2000, Tunitel was founded as a venture business company by a few members who were in Radio Broadcasting Research Laboratory in ETRI(Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute). Currently,our research items are the development of the devices for the wired and wireless communication systems and devices for speech signal processing. By developing devices for high speed telecommunication systems such as mobile,satellite, fixed radio relay system, modulation, channel coding, voice quality measuring,as well as the modem including protocol access capability, we have a plan to take part in increasing the portion of domestic devices in Korea. In the near future, aiming at the customer requirements for various technologies for the markets of high data rate modems, we have a plan for taking about 30 % of domestic market share and about 5 % of world market share. Although there are many competing companies such as Samsung, LG, Intel, and Motorola in modem development technology, they seem not so interested in various kinds of devices with little quantities. As the world trends are changing from system development to core device technology development, Tunitel will keep trying to research to satisfy the customer requirements and increase the portion of our devices in the domestic and world markets of modem.
