Company Description

TELKOM TELOS S.A. is a company of 50 years tradition and experience in designing and manufacturing telecommunication devices, telephones and tele technic equipment.
Since 1955, the company is a recognized producer and supplier of devices such as: public telephones for generally accessible communication, industrial telephones intended for work in tough environmental conditions, sparkproof mine telephones, special telephones aimed at selected military communication systems, subscriber s telephones of diverse scope of additional functions, and a wide range of tele technic equipment.
TELKOM TELOS S.A. specializes mainly in the production of unconventional telecommunication devices directed at the use in exceedingly tough environmental conditions like the following: high and low temperatures, substantial dustiness and significant concentration of gases, high level of noise vandalism, frequent exposure to mechanical risk, as well as the danger of explosion.

There is a number of ATP industrial telephones produced in this field, differentiated on the basis of the scope of implemented functions, construction solutions and specific requirements regarding their use. All of the apparatuses, to ensure their reliable operation in difficult conditions, are equipped with: a strong cover resistant to mechanical risk and vandalism and ensuring dust and water protection at a level of minimum IP54 or higher, very high intensity level of the address call sign (above 85 DB), as well as its light signaling (ensuring effectiveness of the call, even in the conditions of considerable noise and dustiness) and guarantee appropriate work in a wide range of temperatures.
Industrial telephones are primarily used in industrial plants, warehouses, foundries, open spaces etc. A specific group of industrial apparatuses, due to their use, constitutes devices intended for work in places exposed to explosion sparkproof devices.
TELKOM TELOS S.A. produces devices for ensuring communication in underground mine plants, both, exposed or not, to the risk of methane explosion. The company s products are exploited in two systems of communication in mine plants: overall mine communication system and local networks.
For overall mine communication, there is TELOS sparkproof connection system cooperating with a typical mine exchange consisting of: Sparkproof Isolation Stand SSI, equipped with Subscriber s Sparkproof Systems AUI, and Sparkproof Mine Telephones ATGI.
For the creation of separate local communication networks in the mine basements (methane and non methane) there are ATG 4 Mine Telephones produced. These telephones work in the MB system, supplied by a 3V battery with their own generator serving as an energy source for address call signs. Creating local network, however, is possible by the means of connecting parallel apparatuses to a common symmetrical course.
All of the devices intended for ensuring communication in mines are in accordance with appropriate European norms of the UE ATEX directive, have certificates of the European notified laboratory providing them with the I M1 EEx ia I feature, as well as are given the consent to be used in underground mine plants by the State Mining Authority in Katowice.
To be used in overall mine telephone communication, but only in non methane mines, there are ATP 2/N Non sparkproof Industrial Telephones manufactured. They cooperate directly with any CB mine exchange and fulfill all of the basic functions required from a mine telephone.
