The TATA IMPORT EXPORT LTD is an Agro-Industrial Complex thatgrows, processes and markets tropical export crops.It operates in Cameroon in the Central African sub-region. It'soperations management is directed by a General Manager and governed bya Board of Directors also headed by a Chairman.Currently, its plantations cover a total of approximately 38,000Hectares of land and constitutes a workforce of over 9,000 employeesmaking it the second highest employer after the state of Cameroon. There are two Oil Mills located at Idenau and Mondoni which arealso two major Palm Estates. The mills produce top quality Edible Oiland Palm Oil and Palm Kernels.The mills are managed by Mill Managers who are all engineers. They areclosely supported by Mill Engineers and technicians in differentrespect in running the mills.The processing capacity of Mondoni Millis 55tons/Hr while that of Idenau Mill is 35 tons/Hr. To keep themills running for maximum output, a maintenance scheme is put in placeand carefully followed. We Produce edible Oil,Palm Oil,Bananas,Rubber and other minor crops TATA IMPORT EXPORT LTD cultivates other minor crops such asVocanga, Coconut and Pepper, but of recent cultivation of these othercrops were suspended in order to concentrate on improving onproductivity of the major crops. However some coconut is still beinggrown in Mbonge and Pendamboko Estates. We started as a local producing company in 1974 and have so fargrown to the peak in the business by 1995 when we became activelyinvolved in international exportation of most our Palm oil Product andother Edible cooking Oils.We some times received supplies from othersmaller companies in the country in order to satisfy the huge demandsof our potential costumers.Most of our Oil is being exported to Europe where we have 2 potentialbuyers that receive almost all of our monthly supplies.
