In 1866, blacksmith, Gihei Takahashi started to make hand saw in Sanjo village, Echigo.
In that time, the hand saw was made by handwork so the performance and the quality of the product was just depended on the technique of blacksmith.
Gihei Takahashi was one of leading blacksmith in Japan.

Even if the production is fully automatically with high precision machines with computer numerical controlled, the quality control is still depend on human in all the process from the beginning of the production to the completion before delivery.
