Spela Co. Ltd., with the help of its holding company Handok Cosmetics Co.Ltd., was founded as a biopharmaceutical company in August, 2000. Spela707, a hair growth promotion product for external application only, is the main product of the company. Spela Co., Ltd. researches various kinds of bio-resources inhabiting home and abroad and connects them with remarkably developing cutting-edge bio-engineering technology in order to develop its unique, creative, high value-added, and natural bio-engineering products. By making intensive investment in R&D in the fields where the modern advanced bio-engineering and science has yet to find clear treatments, the company tries to find solutions and contribute to human health. As of now, Spela puts forth its efforts on developing the products to solve people’s hair loss trouble, and the food and medicine products for liver cirrhosis only. Spela is focusing on atopy medicine development with the medical college of Seoul National University.
