SITOMECA s. aSet up in 1938, the company SITOMECA was founded in 1952 and now employs around fifty persons in the field of metallic fabrication and the manufacturing of composite material products made out of polyester reinforced with glass fibers.Since 1972, the company mainly focussed on the development and manufacturing of all types of flat and corrugated steel sheets used as interleaves in the production of fibre-cement sheets, wood-cement plates and others. Sitomeca is equally the pioneer in the manufacturing of the so-called Spacers or interleavers which are used in the autoclaves.All over the world, in fact, there is a large-scale consumption of this type of moulds, particularly in roofing, outside claddings, insulation and decorative indoor panels. Special corrugated and flat steel sheets together with the spacers are used in a wide variety of equipment goods for the production of fibre-cement products.Anxious to offer a personalised service to her customers, Sitomeca has developed a unique technology for re-profiling the out-of-shape corrugated steel moulds and the old used flat steel templates can be reflattened; thus giving them a second life. After many years of intensive research, Sitomeca succeeds in reproducing natural products through the development of a new technique which allows the faithful reproduction of natural slate, stone, wood, brick,xxxxxThese moulds are no longer made out of steel but manufactured of fiberglass reinforced resins.
