Raul Dario Moreno Salazar

Company Description

About the background, and policy:My name is Raul Moreno, I was born in Peru, South America, in the year1959; my maternal language is Spanish.I started early 2011 to search for and to import machinery, parts and spares from China, mostly industrial, but at last for anything that customers would require, or asked for.I have 30 years experience as mechanical engineer, the first 14 years I acted like technical sales representative for industrial imported goods (North American and Canadian made) mostly dealing with mining, oil, marine (military and fish processing), pulp and paper industries; but also have dealt more or less intensively with aircraft, food and beverage, textile, printing, steel and cement industries. The following 15 years I was dedicated to independently service maintenance, repair, rebuilding worn machinery and lately also design, adapt or manufacture special purpose machinery for some customers.During the last 15 years, some of the customers who I've been servicing and that have Chinese made machinery, cannot find spare parts, as importers say it's not profitable importing spares, because "spares are too heavy", thus machines end in a corner unable to be used because they have no spares and manufacturing locally is too inefficient and expensive. On the other hand, other customers who have 40 years old machinery, but they still prefer to buy imported (European or USA made) used machinery, instead of new Chinese made, because they think Chinese is easy to wear or break. What I think is that importers are more interested in having the most possible profits, so they ask manufacturers for cheapest possible product and that is achieved with cheaper materials; this causes products to wear fast or easily break. I don't see any point on a manufacturer making such a huge investment, as it is installing a factory, to destroy his reputation by using low quality materials. In the first place, I don't really know why did I decide to stand for Chinese manufactures, but anyway, thus is how I started this Crusade early this year 2011 and now have started receiving inquires for different kind of products, not necessarily industrial, but from people willing to import from China (though, they don't have the tools, either be the language, or the knowledge, or the confidence to find a reliable supplier or the time to search).A very strong barrier to connect between markets, is also the fact that there is a huge quantity of reports of scams from false suppliers from China, it is so alarming that when one wants to get involved by first time, all banks recommend to not get involved, unless one had been personally at factory site and had personally met the suppliers in China. My personal experience also indicates me, that the way Chinese suppliers show their products in their websites, is not exactly what potential buyers are used to, so it discourages most of the searchers to keep on and just turn to where they feel more comfortable, regarding to product detailed information or specifications. As a consequence of these mentioned and some other considerations, I have decided to build a Spanish website to announce Chinese manufacturers as I go contacting them, trying to previously confirm their reliability and most of all, giving due Spanish support to their sites, in order to attend potential buyers' requests and wonders, guiding them to book their purchase orders directly to supplier in China. It would be necessary to also translate all available literature accompanying the products into Spanish, thus giving a true service to end user, so as to keep a post-sales service, this will enhance buyers to continue using and recommending the brands we do represent or trade with.âA satisfied customer is the best investment and the most reliable advertisementâ.
