RADOMSKA WYTWORNIA TELEKOMUNIKACYJNA S. A. (RWT) is a Polish company having been operating in the telecommunication industry for almost 70 years, including activity of its parent company, RADOMSKA WYTWORNIA TELEFONOW (Radom Telephone Factory) , involved into manufacturing mostly telephones and other communication equipment for many years.
RWT began its own activity on the 01st of February 1994. Its parent RADOMSKA WYTWORNIA TELEFONOW, however, was established in 1938 as ERICSSON's subsidiary in Poland and enjoyed the monopoly market share of the Polish telephone market and a significant portion of the Soviet telephone market for tens of years. During that period of time, the company had been exporting about 60% of its total output not only to the former Soviet Union but to many other countries all over the world like Greece, Thailand, Morocco, Syria, Egypt, France, Germany, USA; acquiring great international experience.
RWT is currently a private joint stock company with the following shareholders: AETHRA Italy, TP INVEST representing TP S. A., the national telecommunication service provider in Poland, ERICSSON, METALEXFRANCE Paris, MESCOMP Warsaw and a number of individual investors, including RWT Management Board members.
Now RWT is a leading telecommunications and IT technology company in Poland, for many years strongly involved into providing digital solutions for voice and data communications in the open and encrypted mode, Internet access, digital radio and TV reception, and many others. Expertise knowledge and experience of our engineering team as well as R& D resources and modern production facilities the company is equipped with allow RWT to be self-reliant in designing and manufacturing its products. We are open to any form of cooperation with our international business partners and ready to work on customization of our products to satisfy local requirements.
In 2002 RWT implemented its very successful EUR 50 million production project under which the NMT technology-based Fixed Cellular Terminal was first developed and then over 200. 000 units of the device manufactured by RWT were supplied to Polish Telecommunications. At the moment RWT is manufacturing and selling overseas its CDMA technology-based Fixed Cellular Terminals FCT CDMA to operate within Wireless Local Loop (WLL) on the CDMA 450 and 800 MHz networks, providing phone users with access to POTS services as well as fax and data functionality (Internet access) across remote rural areas and in the sparsely-populated and / or poorly-equipped with cable infrastructure environment. Having passed field tests on Lucent Technologies, Nortel Networks, Alcatel-Samsung, ZTE and Huawei CDMA2000 1x network infrastructure, FCT CDMA now is being sold in Russia and Latvia. Along with its proven equipment, RWT offers also a full range of its techsupport in product customization, pilot installations, tests, etc. Necessary for making real any CDMA projects one may intend to implement.
RWT has also become a significant player in the consumer electronics market by having launched a DVB-T settop box intended to provide users with capability to receive digital TV and radio programs broadcasted terrestrially (free to air) of incomparable better quality than a traditional, analog TV and radio can provide.
Included into a product range manufactured by RWT are also the family of Cygnus crypto phones designed for business and special applications providing secure phone communications, multimedia Information Kiosks as well as ISDN internal (PCI) / external (USB) modems, and many others.
