Company Description

Background: Qeshm Cement Factory is founded in the beautiful and large Island of Qeshm, in 7th km of Dargahan - Ramkan Road. The company was put into operation in two phases. In the first phase, the cement mill became operational in 2000 with a production capacity of 350 tons of cement per day. Then, the second phase of implementation operations of the factory began in 2002. Construction of a complete 900 tons production line of the factory ended officially in February 2005 and in March 2005, trial operation was started in this factory. After over eight years since the start of operation, the projects of increasing the capacity were performed in 2010. Nowadays, the Qeshm Cement Factory is operating with capacity of 1200 tons per day.Photo of FactoryMines:Due to the location of the Qeshm Cement Factory in rich and open mineral environment (an area of 7 square kilometers) of lime and marl stones, which is the raw material in cement production, the company obtained the extraction permits for six hundred thousand tons of mineral per annum. In terms of stratigraphy, the layers within Aghajary Formation with a thickness of about 3000 meters have been widely on a platform with the bellow-mentioned foundations: reef type of fossiliferous limestone, with frequency of calcareous sandstone units, silt and marl. There are fossiliferous limestone and marl; consequently, there is no need to clay. The raw materials are stabile and a high-quality product may be manufactured. All of these factors turned Qeshm Cement Factory into an important producer of cement in the domestic and overseas markets.
