The OneSteel Dolomite Product - Dolomite is calcium magnesium carbonate (CaCO3MgCO3) and is used as a metallurgical flux in steelmaking, and in coloured glass manufacture, refractory material, soil conditioning and concrete aggregate applications.OneSteel Operations - The company owns and operates a dolomite mine at Ardrossan in South Australia. Annual production capacity is nominally 1.0 million tonnes / annum, with a mine life being in excess of 40 years at current production levels.The mine supplies dolomite for the Company's Australian steelmaking operations at Whyalla as well as other domestic steel mills. Dolomite is also supplied to other global steel mills.Maximum vessel sizes of 50,000 DWT and lengths of 200m, can be accommodated at the loading wharf, which is adjacent to the operations.Supply specifications may be varied to suit individual customers requirements.
