As a customer service agent for a Pay TV company, co-founder Rabih was amazed with the number of subscribers who had difficulty locating the correct plug each time he asked them to swtch off their set top box at the power point. Switching off the set top box was the most common way of solving any technical problem.

Most decoders were plugged into a power board at the back of an entertainment unit which also included plugs for televisions, video, DVD, stereo systems and many other entertainment components.

It was inevitable that customers would unplug the wrong unit and then have to reset clocks and tunning settings.
Rabih thought to himself why can't I just create some sort of device which will eliminate this frustration.

A second event was to give another "nudge" to this concept. On a Friday afternoon a simple mistake would lead to a major headache; when a fax was unplugged instead of a shredder whilst waiting for urgent legal documents. The error was discovered too late in the day resulting in a major legal transaction being missed.

It was at that point that Rabih decided to put the wheels in motion to actually develop the power plug label idea and he immediately invited his friend and business advisor Joe Diaz into a partnership that has seen the simple concept take off in all sorts of directions.
