MIKASA COSMETICS LIMITED, incorporated in the year 2006, was setup to service the needs of leading retailers and marketing houses in the field of Cosmetics & Toiletries across the globe. It has been established by a group of entrepreneurs having several years of practical experience in Development as well as in the Manufacture of Cosmetic & Toiletry products.
We undertake CRAMS (Contract Research & Manufacturing Services) for companies marketing their own products, and also to successful retailers selling PRIVATE LABELS in their outlets. Outsourcing, as a concept, has come to stay, with business houses preferring to focus on marketing and leaving the creative job to companies like Mikasa.
Research Laboratory
The research wing, MIKASA LABS, established in the year 2000, offers a blend of Science & Business in the Personal Care segment. The product range includes all types of Shampoos, Creams & Lotions, Hair oil, Hair Gel, Depilatories, Talc etc apart from Alcoholic Perfumes.
The various activities of MIKASA LABS cover Research, Product development, Analytical & Microbiological evaluations, Product evaluation including market research etc. Mikasa Labs also focuses on HERBAL Research for the inclusion of NATURALS in the formulations.
The research laboratory is complete with infrastructure such as Pilot Plants for all its product range, and also backed up by experienced technical staff.
Packaging Development
MIKASA COSMETICS LIMITED also helps its clients in the development of Packaging with international standards. It has a full fledged team of packaging experts who keeps themselves updated on the latest in Packaging Development.
Activities includes Graphic designing, mould development, vendor development etc. Packaging is what that finally attracts a customer, and so, at most importance is given to this aspect of product development.
Manufacturing
The last, but not the least, is the Manufacturing facility at Kandla, Gujarat in the Special Economic Zone meant for exports. The state-of-the-art facility is set up at a prime location with in the zone at an area of 33000 sq. ft.
The facility includes manufacture of Alcoholic perfumes (Capacity 6 to 9 Tons / Day) , Creams / lotions / Gels (6 Tons / Day) and Shampoos (6 Tons / Day) . The filling sections are air conditioned, while flame proof equipments are installed in the Alcoholic Perfume manufacturing area.
Alcohol storage capacity is about 50, 000 liters which could be increased to 100, 000 liters.
The other utilities includes Boiler for steam generation, Chillers for both Cream as well as alcoholic perfume manufacture, Air compressors for pneumatic operation of equipment, Demineralising plant for water softening, Stackers, Pallet trucks & fork lift for material handling.
Quality control
The Quality Control lab with qualified technical staff ensures only Quality materials enter and exit the factory. The laboratory is equipped with appropriate analytical instruments and a Microbiological lab ensures compliance of cGMP requirements. CIP features are incorporated in the manufacturing equipment. DM Plant for water is linked to an RO plant for increasing the efficiency of the plant.
