The activity of Metal Ravne, ***** is vertically included in the activities of the holding (IMH).Metal Ravne proudly looks back at its long tradition in the production of quality steel. Steel production in the Meþa Valley was first mentioned in written records already in 1620.The knowledge based on almost a 390-year tradition has been transferred from one generation to another, and since recently it has been further developed and upgraded also in a co-operation with faculites and institutions.High quality and permanent development are our guidelines in relationship towards customers, suppliers, employees, the environment and our owners.In 1992, we were among the first Slovenian companies certified for quality according to 9001 and later also for environment management according to ISO 14001.Professional knowledge and experience of our employees are our great advantage. In 2007, we started an extensive investment cycle which will contribute to a technical modernization of our steelmaking, forging and rolling programs. At the same time, this means an additional expansion of our production program and a further growth of production and sales.The production program of Metal Ravne consists of over 280 steel grades, carbon and alloyed structural, tool and special steels in the form of rolled and forged products.We are primarily engaged in the production of tool steels supported by adequate process technology. This technology includes the scope of steel production in electric arc furnaces, vacuum metallurgy, electric slag remelting, forging, rolling and heat treatment with the possibility for machining â?? blank sections.Products are made in accordance with global standards and they are supplied with adequate certificates as we have certified inspection equipment in our chemical laboratory, mechanical laboratory and metallographic laboratory. Our laboratory experts use specialized instruments (optical emission spectrometer, scanning electron microscope, x-ray diffractometer, â?¦).The products of Metal Ravne can be found in the markets of Europe, USA, and Near and Far East. Our major customers are in Germany, USA, Italy, Austria and in Slovenia. We also sell products through the trade network of the group SIJ â??
