Company Description

Malama Exploration is a small scale gold mining company. The owners of Malama are from Houston, TX and have been in the commodity business for several years which includes gold over the last year. One of the Principals of the company is currently in Ghana operating our mine. Malama acquired the mine Sugarpeaks in December 2010. Sugarpeaks is 10 acres and is in southwest Ghana in a village which is approx. 8 hours from the city of Accra, Ghana�s most populated city. This southwest region of Ghana is especially rich in gold. We are approx 90 kilometers from the prolific Ashanti Gold Fields (sited on one of the worlds major gold deposits), and just 10 kilometers from Gold Star Resources historic mining operations.We have 50+ employees. Our gold at Sugarpeaks is rare. It is 23.50+ karats, it is almost pure.
