After research for a period of over 3 years and continuousfield trials, we introduce Freshguard, grape guard paper or SO2 generatorpads, to prevent decay on table grapes duringstorage and transit, due to Botrytis cinerea fungus. Freshguard sheet isavailable as Quick release sheet (DomesticTransit) and Multi stage controlledrelease sheet (International Transit) for preservation of grapes. The Freshguard generates sulphur dioxide(SO2) gas as soon as the activeingredient (Na2S2O5) makes contact withthe humidity. SO2 gas eliminates botrytis spores from grapessurfaces, seal wounds and cuts produced during the packing and stop thedevelopment of decay in grapes during the storage and transportation.
