Lacom System lab members were gathered in 1994 and started laser technology development. In 1997 Lacom System start official business especially specializing in laser optical transmission equipment to provide wireless connectivty in communication networks and released recently LCS 5000 series capable of transmitting at 5km of effective range.Laser transmission technology has been known as the reasonable alternative and communication with its economic merit, broad band capacity, quick and easy installation and other convenience. Actually, however, it has not been applied to system networks due to limited transmitting range.Lacom systems developed its unique cylindrical lens array technology - patent pending - to extend the transmitting range by reducing laser power loss. Lacom systems provide 5km transmission up to now and 10km and 20km transmission system will be released by middle fo 2000. Lacom systems are designed now for up to 155Mbps data rate and 2.5Gbps system will be released by March of 2000. Lacom systems have more advantageous features other thean long transmitting distance and high data rate like automatic mounting kit providing quick and easy installation and modular parts for easy maintenance.
