Company Description

KLT Fruits, Inc. was incorporated with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") in 1984 and was registered with the Board of Investments (BOI) as a pioneer enterprise. As a BOI-registered company, KLT was entitled to fiscal tax incentives including a six-year income tax holiday and exemption from duties on imported capital equipment, among others. In 1990, the Department of Trade and Industry cited KLT with the coveted annual Golden Shell Award for its pioneering efforts in the first large-scale commercial production of fruit purees. Currently, KLT is registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority as a PEZA registered enterprise enjoying the tax incentives and privileges under the PEZA charter.The Company is a wholly owned local company engaged primarily in the manufacture of processed fruit, specifically concentrates and purees, using various fruits as raw materials. The fruits used include mango, guyabano (soursop), banana, guava, and pineapple. These fruits are being utilized due to their quality and abundance in the Philippines. Currently, the Company's main products are mango puree and concentrates, guava puree, and other processed tropical fruit products. To add to its existing products, KLT also plans to produce pineapple juice and concentrates in the near future.In addition to fruit purees and concentrates, KLT also manufactures processed red beans for export to Japan. Together with its twenty- years loyal Japanese customer, KLT projects tremendous growth opportunity in this product line within the next five years.
