Istrochem, a. S. Belongs to the oldest companies in chemical industry.
The company was founded by the swedish inventor of dynamite
Alfred nobel in 1873. During its more than 130 years history
Istrochem, a. S. Has earned an important status in slovakia and abroad.
Since 2002, the company is a part of the international group
Agrofert.

The seat of the company headquarters and production plants are
Situated in bratislava on the area of 2 km2. The favourable geographic location in the centre of Europe facilitates the company to place productson the European markets. Out of the total sale of chemical products, the export represents 90 %.

The company has been producing rubber chemicals for over 50
Years and the production now forms the main line of the company business. This includes mainly production of rubber accelerators which are exported world-wide. Since its establishment the company produces explosives and is considered an important supplier of industrial explosives in the regional market. For several last decades its production program includes also agrochemicals, at the present mainly pesticides. Since 1970s the company produces polypropylene fibres
And colour masterbatches. By the end of the last century the company closed a long-year production of viscose rayon and fertilizers.
