Iran Sewing Machine Mfg. Co. Kachiran

Company Description

About KachiranKachiran was found in 1980, aiming to manufacture high quality home sewing machines to meet the local demand and to export to other countries around the world. Kachiran factory was set up in Qazvin, 150km northwest of capital Tehran. Before Kachiran was established, the local demand for sewing machines had to be fulfilled through imports as the manufacturing capabilities simply did not exist. To benefit from the latest technology and expertise, Kachiran then entered into a joint venture with the highly acclaimed sewing machine manufacturer PFAFF. Soon after, the structural works for the manufacturing site began to shape and by early 1991, the machineries were ready to be installed by the German partners. Finally in late 1991, an inauguration ceremony was held to mark the launch of the first sewing machine assembly line in Iran with Trade Minister and other top officials present to celebrate this moment. However within the next 4 years, Kachiran endeavoured to move away from assembling sewing machines to manufacturing them and invested heavily in the latest machineries to achieve this ambitious objective.   After just two years, Kachiran was able to design and manufacture their very own range of sewing machines using local knowledge and expertise. This meant that customers could now buy a high quality sewing machine, at a competitive price. But it did not just stop there and in 1998, Kachiran signed an agreement with Janome to further improve their ranging and product offering. But today more than 85% of the parts are manufactured locally, making Kachiran independent of foreign supports.Products:At the moment Kachiran manufactures 21 different models of sewing machines to suit every need both in the local market and worldwide.
