Hence at HPI, the scrap tires are being turned into useful value added products to extend the life of the material by making them into various products i.e. TDF (Tire Derived Fuel - a fuel with about above 10000kcal/kg which is same as high quality coal), Carbon Black Powder & Steel Wires which are being used into road construction, blast mats, recreational uses and crumb products which have found suitable consumer markets. One particular use of scrap tires is using them as fuel in industries like Cement Factories, Foundries, Metal Casting Industries & Glass Manufacturing industries etc.
