However, they yearned for the rich traditional foods of their native Greece.The Kangadis family began importing olives, olive oil, spices and cheeses, which they shared with friends and neighbors. Soon, the family was fielding requests for these fine foods from local merchants and restaurateurs. The Gourmet Factory was founded to meet the growing demand for Mediterranean specialties. Today, The Gourmet Factory is a leading importer of olive oil, olives, cheeses, tomaotes, capers, peppers, spices and other European delicacies.
