Established in 1982 Gestas Lighting, Genel Elektrik Aydinlatma San. Ve Tic. As. started its way by producing Lighting Fittings , Ballasts for High Pressure Lamps , Lighting Poles and Accesories and Trading of all kinds of Lighting Components for imports and exports. From establishment to today products are branded with the name Gestas. More than 28 all productions are made in the norms of Turkish and European standarts by this way the company carries the leadership flag in both new models R&D. and Quality.

In the beginning of establishment and first productions Gestas builded their own laboratory having necessary testing devices and equipments to control the quality continuously as a very important part of production phase and even first products of the company have Turkish Standards Institute s (TSE) quality acceptance certificates.
This quality concept still continues for more than 28 years. From the first products to now company has the honor to be known as a Trustable company that has the best quality with the optimal pricing.

Company palyed a big role in supplying Turkish Govermental Electrical Distribution Foundation s Street Lighting need for many years .And produced millions of Street Lighting Luminaires,High Pressure Ballasts, Floodlights, Industrial Lighting Fittings,High Bay Luminaires until 1993.

In 1993 Gestas started production of Indoor Ligthing Fixtures, developing many new models in this area in few years been a big supplier also for long-term ,short-term special indoor lighting projects of many big corporations.And still with everyday growing number of new models and kinds of products been a qualified supplier in Turkish,European,Asian and African markets with many customers.

Being first IP65 Protection Class Floodlight producer in Turkey Gestas realized many lighting projects for Sports Areas ,Public Squares, Tunnels , Statues, Monuments ,Arenas and still lighting many new projects..

In 1997 acquired ISO 9002 Quality Assurance Certificate. Today having the norms ISO 9001:2000 , ISO 14001:2004 , OHSAS 18001 ,TSE,CE ve GOST-R certificates as a prove of Quality. In 2003 with an additional investment in Production capacity and expanding product range in Indoor lighting Gestas also makes trading of any kinds Cables, Lamps and all kinds of electrical components.
