Company Description

Filtec has been developing vacuum seeders and related seedling nursery equipment since 1981. We have automated nurseries on every continent of the world. Just some of the companies who have installed and operate our equipment include SAPPI, Mondi, Aracruz, Klabin, Fletcher Challenge, Riocell, Mannesmann, Champion, Duratex and Shell. A few years we turned our attention to the bottle filling industry. We have developed a range of fillers and cappers, from hand operated to fully automated Rotary fillers suitable to a wide range of products and containers. Filtec Automation offers equipment for the small to large sized bottlers. We provide local installation and service with minimum downtime. Some of the companies that operate our equipment include: Clover Dairies, Ola Ice-cream, Rapidol, W Daly and sons , Quality Products, Lever Ponds, Uni Lever, Reckit Benckizer and South African Breweries. In addition to the seedling and filling applications, we also automate many other processes to client specifications. Our machines are built with a view to zero maintenance by means of robust design and the use of durable materials like stainless steel, aluminium and galvanized steel. Control is by custom designed and built PLC circuitry. All pneumatics are by Festo. The range of equipment we manufacture in the bottle filling industry includes: Fillers, cappers, cap unscramblers, accumulator tables, conveyors, tanks and blenders. We also custom-design specialized equipment to suit customer requirements. Modernising, refitting, adapting and extending old but expensive-to-replace imported machines is part of our specialised expertise. Most installations are turnkey operations.
