General (Chengdu) Rectification Electric Appliance Research Institute, (former state-owned Chengdu Rectifier Factory founded in 1956), has a long history of over 50 years in R&D, manufacturing and marketing high-power power electronic. Chengdu Rectifier Factory was regrouped and reformed into joint-stock private enterprise and renamed to Chengdu General Rectification Electric Appliance Research Institute in 1994.
