Changa Society Mines Ltd (CSML) of P.O.Box 1292 Mbeya, Tanzania has acquired an area located at kyela district QDS224/4 where it is prospecting for availability of Coal which in future will lead into development of coal area is composed of on prospecting lisence 6539/2009 occupying an area of 82.18 square kilometre and is boarded by undeveloped wood-land and shrub bearing area. GEOLOGICAL SETTINGMost of the areas in Tanzania is occupied by precambrian rocks of Archean and Proterozoic Archean rocks form the Tanzania is sorrounded by the younger protezoic of the Usagaran belt,to the east and Ubendian to the precambrian rocks are covered by sedimentary rocks of the karroo system in the south of the country and by the younger cenozoic sediments in the costal region.A quaternary rock occurs in the north and south east,associated with the formation of the rift valley system.Geological survey and laboratory results carried out previously indicate the obvious signs of coal occurrences in the property area.
