These are all high demand agro products produced in the west African sub-region. Apart from its significant local production of these items, Ghana is gradually becoming the centre of trade because of the use of its now preferred port facilities in Tema and Takoradi by the land-locked countries as a result of the crisis in West Africa. Again, aside the proven premium quality of the commodities, Ghana has become the destination of most foreign companies dealing in these commodities obviously due to the relative stable economic and commercial atmosphere it possesses. Though each commodity is seasonal, their respective period of trade is spread throughout the year with each season following in the trail of the other.
