Cashmere is an extremely soft, luxury fabric made from the hair of mountain goats that live in the Himalayan range of Tibet, Turkistan, and China. Cashmere is the inner coat that grows beneath the goat's coarser outer hair and is gathered by combing the goat rather than clipping it. This method of gathering Cashmere is humane and approved by PETA and other animal rights around the world.
The natural crimp of Cashmere fibers helps them interlock during processing and allows the fibers to spin into a very fine and lightweight fabric. The yarn retains the loft of the fibers, which makes it very warm and soft to the touch as well as extremely light; almost weightless. Because of its extreme warmth, fineness, lightweight and softness against the skin, Cashmere is used in sweaters, hats, scarves, shawls, undergarments and other products either mixed with other woolsor cotton or 100% pure. Cashmere has a high moisture content, its insulating properties change with the amount of humidity in the air, making it comfortable in all climates throughout the seasons. Lastly, only 4 to 6 ounces of cashmere can be harvested per goat each year, making our product a luxury good coveted globally.
Our product can only be found in the highlands of the Himalayas, it is the softest natural wool found in nature and is often known as the King's Fiber due to its rarity and luxuriousness.
