Founded by Jason Pannone, a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, the company made its first acquisition in 2008 when it purchased "ASP of Rhode Island," a fire extinguisher business founded by Manuel Depointe, who sold his first fire extinguisher from his garage. Following this acquisition, ASP Fire & Specialty Products Inc. purchased and renovated an office building and warehouse which now provides expansion space for its transition to new lines of business. The company has recently invested in new systems that make it convenient and cost effective for customers to find and select products for immediate delivery through a newly launched website www.aspsupplies.com.
