In the late 1940s Mr. S.K. Patodia, with his two brothers laid the groundwork for an industrial conglomerate with a trading business of jute commodities under the banner of ASHOKA.In 1966 the business took its first step into the engineering field with the production of Pressure Die Casting of aluminum and zinc based alloys, considered to be a highly technical line in those days in India. It was formed to cater to the growing demand for components in industries like automobile, electrical equipment, office equipment, textile machinery, etc. Ashoka Industries was the first unit of this group.A major leap of growth took place in 1971 when the group opted to become a supplier for the Indian government's engineering departments. It has never looked back since and has grown into a highly valued vendor to this Industry. The company thrives on the stringent quality requirements of this sector. Each component is made to meet the needs of accuracy, consistency, reliability and safety demanded. In fact the company's production philosophy is that of quality and reliability.The group in 1994 took a step back into the field of natural fiber, Cotton. The group's dedication to quality has allowed it to expand to include cotton cultivation, ginning, and knitting in its field of operations apart from its first spinning mill.Since 1994 the group has had international operations with the export of its engineering products and even its cotton yarn. Ashoka Overseas acts as a front organization for the group's international trading activities.Today it employs a combined workforce of over 600 workmen and 75 staff members and executives to manage its operations spread across the country.With a strong infrastructure and a sound financial base the ASHOKA GROUP is set to take quantum leaps of growth and play a vital role in trade and industry
