Anapal Ceramics A. PITOURAS & CO.

Company Description

ANAPAL CERAMICS was founded in 1973 by Anastassios Pitouras producing Faience ceramics (Pseudo Porcelain) such as plates, coffee and tea cups, ashtrays, candy and jewellery holders, lamps etc.

By 1980 Mr. Anastassios had devised new and revolutionary methods of productions enabling to reduce significantly costs of production.
These new production methods changed the way ceramics were made enabling fast production at a lower cost. This meant that our company could now move on to making smaller cheaper ceramics that could be easily produced and sold at a very small price.

1982 Anapal Ceramics was producing solely small ceramic pots that contained various types of perfumes inside. These products are made until today and are part of our main production.
In the year 1984 we introduced our coloured lines of ceramics. We were the first to introduce several colours to our porcelain type of ceramics. Except the black, white and blue, we introduced colours such as green, royal blue, brown, gray, cream white, red, pistachio and others, with equal success as the standard colours( white, black and blue).

1984 we started to make our own moulds on all our ceramics, inside our premises. This means that we have total control of all the stages of production.
We also installed a recycling facility that can recycle damaged and broken ceramics from the first stage of production, in order to minimize loses.

In 2004 Anapal ceramics introduced a new range of products in addition to the perfume line.
The Christian Orthodox line came at a time that our company had grown and matured in the making of ceramics, and enabled us to produce beautiful worship religious items for churches, monasteries and pilgrims that follow the Christian faith at a very affordable prices. The artwork we use is mainly from the Byzantine school but we can produce any theme.

We currently sell to Orthodox monasteries and churches, Christian Bookstores and gift shops, and we currently make exports to Russia, Romania, Japan, USA, Canada, and Cyprus.
