Colonial Home Textiles is a versatile company established in California in 1983. The company initially served institutional & hospitality linens. After several successful years, the firm began the wholesale home fashions business.
Colonial Home Textiles has a rich history. The firm is the Home Fashions division of Lachmi's International Limited. Our roots date back to 1960 when our founder Mr. Harry M. Wadhwani opened a shop in Hong Kong's busy tourist area of Kowloon selling a custom made clothing line. Since these humble beginnings, Lachmi's has grown to become an aggressive fast paced trading company, manufacturing apparel, home textiles, home decor, and fashion footwear. Today, Lachmi's has become one of the strongest companies amongst its peers, with yearly turnover in excess of US$250,000,000.00
Expanding on its core business of home textiles, Colonial Home Textiles is also a leader in development of products across several areas, such as housewares, outdoor, electronics, and furniture. Our main markets are North America, Mexico, Central and South America, and we are working currently with customers in Europe, the Middle-East and Asia markets.
Sourcing is Our Core Strength! With over 50 years of sourcing experience, we bring with us a deep understanding of both the Asian manufacturing culture, as well as indepth understanding of retail; our customers. We believe all sales start with the right product. We have an experienced design team in California and New York, and we are constantly seeking trend right ideas. We work very closely with our retail partners, whether it is making samples, or improvising their ideas in into designs, as well as working with customer tech pack on private label program.
Colonial Home Textiles is based in a state-of-art facility in Garden Grove, California. We are committed to the programs and patterns we develop, and we have the financial strength and sourcing capabilities to support our growth.
