HistoryControl Instruments East Rand was established in June 2004 by DarrylLawrence. The main focus of the business was Fleet Management Systems,Tachographs to the Transport Industry, and Clock Card Machines to factories.The aim of the Company was, and still is, to provide industry-leading productsand top quality service to customers.A massive re-branding initiative was begun in the middle of May, which saw thefirm take on a completely new look and name. Initially we were closelyassociated with the Control Instruments Group and its products. Over time, ourrange expanded to many new products and suppliers, thus the change becameimperative in order to position ourselves as a unique entity in the South Africanand global markets. The project will be completed by the end of July.The Company opened with 5 staff members including one Director. The first ninemonthsâ turnover was initially around the one and a half million Rand mark.Advanced Telematics is proud to have achieved a 100% growth in the first fivemonths in 2005.Staff headcount has increased to over 14 and annual turnover has grown by 150% to three and a half million Rand mark, due to pure dedication and superiorservice to Advanced Telematics (Pty) Ltd clients by its entire staff.2006 theannual turnover has grown to the five million Rand mark.The company now employs 35 people and has a Branch in Durban KZN, CapeTown and Lusaka ZambiaAdvanced Telematics has appointed Mr. F R Pandelani as Director andshareholder as of the 1st February 2006. Advanced Telematics believes that, withall his knowledge and experience, Mr. Pandelani will add great value to thebusiness.Advanced Telematics (Pty) Ltd is also a proud member of the ANC ProgressiveBusiness Forum since December 2006 JHBP228.Present2006 has been an action-packed year for the firm.The most exciting step is the BEE process, which has finally been successfullynegotiated and is now well underway.
